Beth A. Nagusky

Director of Sustainable Development

Beth joined LEEDCo in late June to lead the work to secure the state and federal permits and approvals needed by Icebreaker Wind


IMG 20150228 150554096 002 Beth grew up and attended law school in Cleveland, and spent 30 years working on energy and environmental issues in Maine for NGOs, government, and the private sector.  She started as a staff attorney and hearing examiner with the Public Utilities Commission and served under Governor John E. Baldacci as energy director and Department of Environmental Protection sustainability office director and acting commissioner.  Beth was director of Maine’s renewable power association as well.  

She also was an environmental attorney and advocate for the Natural Resources Council of Maine and Environment-Northeast (the Acadia Center), and worked for the League of Conservation Voters in Ohio. While at the DEP in Maine Beth co-chaired the Governor’s Ocean Energy Task Force, which led her to LEEDCo when she moved back to Cleveland in 2013.
