Prior to joining the LEEDCo management team in January 2013, he served as a Vice President of NorTech where he launched and went on to lead their advanced energy work in Northeast Ohio. While at NorTech he was involved in several major segments of the industry including energy storage, smart grid, fuel cells, waste-to-energy conversion, energy efficiency, as well as wind energy. Dave helped launch LEEDCo in 2009 and has been deeply engaged with LEEDCo since its inception.
Before making the move into the non-profit sector in 2007, he spent over 20 years in the private sector where he gained significant experience in the rubber, steel, and plastics industries. Prior to joining NorTech, he led the engineering and R&D group at Van Dorn Demag Corp., a manufacturer of plastic injection molding machinery. He began his career at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
